The AFRICAN AMERICAN HERITAGE Statewide Parade and Festival was established to celebrate African American History, highlighting the glorious heritage, history and contributions of African Americans. The Parade is cablecast live locally, starting at noon on Cablevision channel 3. There are over 3,000 parade participants, 75,000 parade spectators, thousands of cable viewers and 50,000+ festival attendees.
